This past Thursday (May 12, 2011) I was lucky enough to attend Girls’ Night Out at the Ritz Carlton Charlotte…A Night of Glamour and Giving for the Ronald McDonald House. It was a fantastic event, I think my favorite this spring. This was the 2nd year for the benefit/fashion show and the 2nd year that I attended. We had front row seats at the end of the run-way and the swag bag was fun to go through. My friend Rashida was most amused by the bottle of Jeremiah Weed, a sweet tea flavored vodka.
Also on Friday I did open mic at Petra’s Piano Bar in Midwood prepping for my trip to Chicago on Wednesday. I did all new material, some winners and some losers. I talked about the last time I willing drank Jaggermeister….November 4, 2006, my friend’s wedding. 10 college friends, 6 handles of Jagger, 4 hours….1 heck of a night and never again will I consume that tar-like liquor.
